Autumn Foliage at Funabashi Kenmin no Mori Forest, Chiba
One of six prefectural forests in Chiba, this 15-hectare woodland is home to cedar, cypress, and zelkova trees. Visitors can enjoy forest walks, barbecue facilities, sports, and birdwatching. The forest is particularly popular in autumn as the Japanese maples and other trees change color. Walk along the Maple Path near the Gathering Square to admire the vibrant foliage, and don’t miss the beautiful ginkgo tree at the sports field. The leaves usually start turning in mid-November, with the best viewing period from late November to early December.
