The iconic 90-meter-long red arch bridge, known as the 'Red Bridge', spans Higashizawa Gorge, which originates from Mount Jigoku in the Yatsugatake region. The vibrant bridge stands out against lush greenery in spring and striking autumn leaves in fall, making it a popular spot for sketching and photography. A riverside trail 2.8 kilometers downstream of the bridge offers scenic views of unusual rock formations such as Kakuen Peak, Lion Rock, and Tengu Rock, ideal for trekking. Note: From September 11, 2025, to August 31, 2026, half of the bridge will be covered for maintenance work and not fully visible.
