Autumn Foliage at the World Heritage Shrines and Temples of Nikko
In 1999, the historic buildings of Nikko Toshogu Shrine, Nikkozan Rinnoji Temple, Nikko Futarasan Shrine, and their surrounding natural scenery were collectively designated as the 'Shrines and Temples of Nikko' World Heritage Site. From early to mid-November, visitors can enjoy spectacular autumn leaves around these sites.
