Autumn Leaves on Oyama Approach
November 11–30, 2026
Free entry
The burial site of Marshal Iwao Oyama, a prominent figure of the Meiji period, and his family is located here. Its approach is lined with Japanese maples over a century old, forming a vivid canopy of autumn leaves at their peak. Typically, the best time to see the foliage is from mid to late November. In 2018, the entire Nasunogahara area, including the Oyama approach, was recognized as a Japan Heritage site for its historical significance as depicted by Meiji-era nobility.
