Minami Tajima: Light, Elegance, and Movement

At the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, a large-scale solo exhibition of Minami Tajima (1924–2014), an abstract sculptor and visual artist active in postwar Japan, is being held. With the full cooperation of the Minami Tajima Research Institute, the exhibition features around 70 works, including early paintings, sculptures from different periods, lighting pieces called 'Light Constructions' by the artist, as well as architectural parts, photographs, sketches, and archived materials, offering a comprehensive overview of Tajima's work spanning approximately 70 years.
