Autumn Foliage at Hananuki Gorge
This gorge is dotted with various pools and waterfalls. In autumn, the area from the Kotakizawa Campground to the Shiomitaki Suspension Bridge transforms as maple leaves and other trees turn brilliant colors, creating a vibrant landscape. Crossing the sixty-meter-long suspension bridge offers a view of Shiomitaki Falls below, while branches from trees lining the Hananuki River stretch overhead, allowing visitors to experience the autumn leaves up close. The best time to see the foliage is typically from mid to late November.
