Drone License Center Second-Class National Qualification Beginner Course (Choose Your Schedule, Midoriyama, Machida)
November 2, 2026 – January 31, 2027
The Drone License Center Yokohama branch, a Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism-registered training provider, is offering a fall campaign for absolute beginners seeking the second-class drone operator national license at Midoriyama Futsal Park (accessible by bus from Tsurukawa Station) in Machida. The course features one-on-one instruction by first-class instructors, with lectures and exams held on site. Special campaign pricing is available, including free drone rental and facility fees. The weekday course runs about 5–6 hours per day, typically over two days, and prepares participants for the official government-designated proficiency exam. Upon passing all required tests, you will receive a certification qualifying you for the second-class drone operator national license; those who pass the final assessment are exempt from the designated test center's practical exam. Eligibility: 16 years or older (minors need parental consent), beginners welcome, and must meet aviation health criteria. Course includes all materials (extra fees apply for additional remedial hours or retesting if necessary). Application must include your drone skills certificate number issued via the DIPS system, and you may apply for your preferred weekday dates. Further specialized courses for beyond-visual-line-of-sight and night flights require separate registration. See the official site for details and application procedures.
