Sculptor Daiki Nishimura (born 1986) began using bamboo, specifically from neglected groves in Otawara City, Tochigi Prefecture, as a main material for his art. His unique techniques—joining cut bamboo segments and then sculpting them—result in works that combine intricate beauty with a warm sense of humor. This exhibition features many of Nishimura's bamboo pieces presented in a format where visitors are encouraged to touch the sculptures.
