A chamber music concert by a group of next-generation Japanese musicians, performing two romantic piano quintets: Dvořák's Piano Quintet No. 2 in A major, Op. 81, and Korngold's Piano Quintet in E major, Op. 15. The program pairs Dvořák's Bohemian folk melancholy with the ambitious, dramatic melodies of Korngold's early work. The ensemble previously performed Fauré's quintets and received the Music Critics Club Encouragement Award.
