Brilliant Bursts of Light: A World Unveiled
An exhibition presenting the work of Yayoi Kusama through the theme of 'light.' The show features her early drawings from the 1950s, collages created after her return to Japan, the 'Infinity Nets' series she developed while in the United States, vibrantly colored paintings from the 1980s onward, and her recent large-scale series 'My Eternal Soul.' Highlights include a mirrored room with lights, prints and sculptures using glitter, large mosaic sculptures with metallic foil, and the Japanese premiere of an outdoor mirrored ladder installation. The exhibition explores the many ways Kusama expresses 'light' through diverse materials and forms.
