Best Time to See Autumn Leaves at Inaga Lake
November 1–20, 2026
Located halfway up Mount Kushigata in the Prefectural Forest, South Inaga Lake is about 890 meters above sea level. A walking path circles the tree-lined lake, offering a close experience with nature. Brilliant red and yellow foliage is reflected on the green surface of the water, creating stunning views. There is a lakeside rest house where you can enjoy lunch or sweets while relaxing in nature. North Inaga Lake, about five minutes away by car, is also recommended for those seeking a quiet spot to view the autumn colors. A fall foliage festival is held on November 7 and 8.
