The Ando Family Residence stands on a vast property of about 1,300 tsubo (over 4,000 square meters). Designated as an Important Cultural Property, the thatched main house, front gate, storehouse, tea room, inner gate, and board fence all date back more than 300 years. In autumn, the maples around the pond turn vibrant shades of red and yellow, reflected beautifully on the water. Remarkably, this house has never suffered fire damage in its three-century history. From Thursday, November 26 to Saturday, November 28, the grounds will be illuminated at night, offering an enchanting view of the autumn foliage and the historic residence.
