¥700
Yunishigawa Onsen in Tochigi Prefecture is known for its connection to the legend of the defeated Heike clan. It is said that descendants of the Heike clan discovered the hot springs in 1573. The alkaline simple spring water is reputed to help with neuralgia, rheumatism, and external injuries. Visitors can enjoy vibrant autumn foliage from beech and maple trees, as well as open-air baths overlooking the dramatic gorge. Surrounded by satoyama countryside, Yunishigawa Onsen offers a stunning display of red and yellow leaves from mid-October to mid-November each year.
