[Autumn Foliage Peak] Setoai Gorge
October 10 – November 10, 2026
Setoai Gorge, located upstream of the Kinugawa River, is a canyon formed by the erosion of tuff stone. Sheer cliffs rising up to 100 meters stretch over approximately 2 kilometers. The old Route 23 runs along the edge, offering impressive views of the gorge below. From the 'Watarasshai Suspension Bridge' in front of the Kawamata Dam, visitors can experience breathtaking sights and feel close to the dramatic cliffs. Setoai Gorge is renowned for its autumn colors and has been selected as one of the top 100 scenic spots in Tochigi Prefecture.
