Autumn Foliage at Yasukuni Shrine
November 21 – December 10, 2026
Free entry
While renowned for its cherry blossoms in spring, Yasukuni Shrine is also a picturesque spot in autumn. The ginkgo trees, standing about 25 meters tall, turn a brilliant gold between the First and Second Torii gates, delighting visitors. In 2019, as part of the shrine's 150th anniversary, the area around the ginkgo trees was beautifully renovated. Behind the main hall, the Shinchi Garden and teahouse offer striking views of vividly colored maple leaves.
