Sakurayama Park in Gunma Prefecture is famous for its 'winter cherry blossoms', designated as a national scenic spot and natural monument. The vast 47-hectare park offers beautiful autumn leaves from late October to mid-November, creating a unique display alongside the blooming winter cherry blossoms. Visitors can enjoy the autumn colors in the first plaza, which features a traditional stroll garden, and the second plaza, which showcases seasonal nature year-round. Sakurayama Park attracts many people, especially due to its authentic landscaping and the striking blend of foliage and blossoms. On December 6, 2026 (Sunday), the Sakurayama Festival will be held to celebrate the peak bloom of the winter cherry blossoms.
