Autumn Foliage at Namerazawa Gorge
Located in northern Amagi Pass in Izu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, this gorge is surrounded by deep forests and is a tributary of the Kano River. It’s also a popular geosite within the Izu Peninsula Geopark. During the autumn foliage season, typically from mid-November to early December, the striking gorge with its solid rock formations is brilliantly colored by the changing leaves, making it an excellent hiking destination.
