Mount Saburo rises from the center of the Kasama Basin in Ibaraki Prefecture and is a haven for nature lovers, home to hundreds of plant species. The 182-meter mountain features a four-kilometer hiking trail leading to the summit, where the historic ruins of Kasama Castle—once regarded as one of Japan’s notable castles—can be found. In autumn, the entire mountain is blanketed in stunning gradients of colorful foliage, offering spectacular views.
