As the thirteenth night moon illuminates the Jiyu Gakuen Myonichikan and the sounds of autumn insects fill the air, Kuroda Getsusui—the head of the Tosa Biwa school—will accompany Akiko Iijima's recitations, bringing the delicate world of classical literature to life. The program features Lafcadio Hearn's 'Hoichi the Earless' and Eiji Yoshikawa's story of Yoshino Tayu from 'Musashi,' along with a talk about the biwa.
