This popular calligraphy course runs over eight sessions, guided by the expert teacher Masahiko Ishizaka. You are welcome to join for a single class or midway through the series. Beginners and those without calligraphy tools can easily participate as essential supplies are provided on loan. This session focuses on cursive script—known for its many abbreviations, making it difficult to read today, yet fascinating in style. Held at Biotopia, the class approaches calligraphy as both art and relaxation, under the instruction of a Nitten art exhibition artist.
