Adventures in Horticulture: From Home Gardens to the World

This exhibition presents horticultural passion and the quest for new, beautiful, and unique plants as an 'adventure,' using materials from the collection of the National Diet Library. Highlights include ukiyo-e woodblock prints published in the Edo period, an 18th-century British botany magazine, and well-known modern monthly publications. Over 200 items from the library’s extensive holdings have been selected, with about 150 displayed in each of the two sessions at the Tokyo venue. Admission is free and open to all.
