DESCRIPTION:This exhibition presents horticultural passion and the quest for new\, beautiful\, and unique plants as an 'adventure\,' using materials from the collection of the National Diet Library. Highlights include ukiyo-e woodblock prints published in the Edo period\, an 18th-century British botany magazine\, and well-known modern monthly publications. Over 200 items from the library’s extensive holdings have been selected\, with about 150 displayed in each of the two sessions at the Tokyo venue.
