Now in its 89th year, the Shoyo Memorial Festival at Waseda University Theatre Museum commemorates the achievements of Shoyo Tsubouchi, a tradition held since 1936. For 2026, novelist Megumi Semiya, recipient of the 39th Shugoro Yamamoto Prize for 'Mieruka Hokiichi,' will give a lecture.
