Setagaya Literary Museum Collection Exhibition: Chiyo Uno 30 Years After Her Passing

This collection exhibition explores the life of Chiyo Uno, a renowned writer known for works like 'Color Regret,' 'Ohan,' and 'Living My Life.' New materials donated to the Setagaya Literary Museum in 2023 are divided into early and late periods, showcased throughout the year. The first half features documents from her childhood in Iwakuni to around age 50 when she began serializing 'Ohan,' including her handwritten manuscripts, letters from Tōgō Aōji to Chiyo Uno, and her diaries. The second half focuses on her later life from 1947 to 1996, highlighting her diverse activities as a writer and kimono designer.
