27th Naritasan Park Autumn Foliage Festival at Naritasan Park
November 14–29, 2026
Held annually from mid to late November, the Naritasan Park Autumn Foliage Festival takes place in Naritasan Park, a spacious Japanese garden known for its natural beauty, covering an area equivalent to 3.5 Tokyo Domes. During the festival, visitors can admire vibrant autumn leaves such as maple, sawtooth oak, and ginkgo, creating picturesque scenes reminiscent of traditional woodblock prints. Especially striking are the colorful leaves reflected on the pond’s surface, evoking a timeless, elegant atmosphere. On weekends and holidays during the festival, live performances featuring traditional string instruments like the Tsugaru shamisen, koto, and erhu are held in the floating pavilion on the pond. The park becomes lively with families and couples enjoying the music and autumn scenery. The event is held even in rain, though some performances may be canceled depending on conditions.
