24th Yamashina Yoshimaro Award Commemorative Symposium: 'The Science of Vocal Communication Unveiled by Birdsong'

Dr. Kazuo Okanoya, recipient of the Yamashina Yoshimaro Award, is internationally acclaimed for his research exploring vocal learning, communication, and the evolution of language through the study of Bengal finch songs. This symposium will reflect on the journey of Dr. Okanoya and his research group, examining how the study of birdsong sheds light on the origins of human vocal communication and language. The event will feature seven lectures and a Q&A session with six speakers.
