The 'Geopark Traveling Exhibition – Journey Through Earth's Time' began in March 2024 at the Fossa Magna Museum in Itoigawa City, Niigata, and has traveled to 38 venues nationwide. Its final stop will be the Chiba Prefectural Museum. The exhibition explores the deep relationship between our landscapes, the living creatures within them, and the cultures and traditions we have built, all shaped by Earth's long history. Visitors can view rocks, fossils, and landscapes from geoparks across Japan, learn about the dynamic processes that formed the Japanese islands, and discover connections between the land and people. The museum's own collections will also be featured, with a special focus on the culture nurtured by the Boso Peninsula, including Choshi Geopark. This exhibition invites you to see familiar scenery in a new way.
