December Events at Uchiurayama Forest Park

■ Sekison Mountain & Maple Valley Hike: December 1 (Tue) 10:00–15:00 (meet at the Forest Park Center by 9:50). In case of rain, postponed to December 3 (Thu). Participants will meet at the main center and take a minibus to the Sekison Trailhead, then hike approximately 5km through the maple-filled valley to Sekison Mountain. Capacity: 25 people (minors must be accompanied by an adult). Bring: lunch, drinks, ID card, picnic sheet, rain gear, hiking poles if needed. Dress: appropriate hiking clothes, hat, trekking shoes, gloves, backpack. Registration deadline: November 29 (Sun) 15:00 (first-come, first-served). Fee: 1,400 yen per person (half price for guests staying at the Seseragi Lodge; stays from 7,210 yen including 2 meals). Notes: For experienced hikers only; group pace will be brisk. The course includes rough, steep, and slippery sections—those with slower pace or health concerns should not participate. ■ Create Your Own Christmas Wreath: December 20 (Sun) 10:00–12:00 (meet at the Forest Park Center by 9:50; held rain or shine). Use fir branches, nuts, natural materials, ribbons, and ornaments to craft a unique Christmas wreath. Capacity: 15 people (children must be accompanied by an adult). Bring: ID card, work or leather gloves, pruning shears, bag to take wreath home. Dress: clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Registration deadline: December 18 (Fri) 15:00. Fee: 1,000 yen per person (half price for guests staying at the Seseragi Lodge; stays from 7,210 yen including 2 meals).
