November Events at Chiba Seiwa Prefectural Forest Park

■ Fire-starting Experience: November 7 (Sat) 1:00–3:30 PM. For overnight lodge guests only. Learn how to start a fire using only natural materials, without lighters or matches. Several methods will be introduced. Must be staying at the lodge village on the day of the event. No limit on participants. Free (lodging fee required). Please bring work gloves and your adventurous spirit. ■ Colorful Autumn Leaf Crafting: November 14 (Sat)–30 (Mon), 9:00 AM–3:00 PM. Enjoy laminating beautiful autumn leaves to create unique crafts. Pre-pressed leaves are provided, or you can use ones you collect yourself. Take home a memento of fall. Fee: 300 yen. ■ Handmade Wooden Puzzle Workshop: November 23 (Mon, holiday), register between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Attach a design to a wooden board and cut out your own puzzle using a scroll saw. Bring your own design or use one of ours. No reservations required—feel free to come to the 'Home of Wood' museum at Seiwa Forest. Fee: 1,400 yen per set (takes about 1 hour to complete).
