Are Tokyo flea markets free to enter?
Almost all of them are. You only pay for what you buy. A few large ones, like the Ajinomoto Stadium BIG flea market, charge a small entry fee, which is shown in the listing.
When is the best time to go?
Come early. The best finds go in the first hour, and most markets wind down by mid-afternoon. Weekends and national holidays have the most markets.
What happens if it rains?
Outdoor markets are usually cancelled in rain, sometimes decided on the morning itself. Check the organiser page linked from each market before you set off.
Can I haggle and pay by card?
Bring cash in small notes: most stalls do not take cards. Polite haggling is normal at flea and antique markets, less so at handmade markets where makers set their own prices.
