Tokyo Smart Culture Project Nara Women's University, Hase Laboratory: "Replicated Sensibility - Daido Moriyama"

The "TOKYO Smart Culture Project," promoted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture, is a project that digitizes the cultural resources held by metropolitan cultural facilities and provides new viewing experiences. As part of this project, a hybrid exhibition will be held that combines offline and online elements, combining physical materials from the "Tokyo Collection" held by metropolitan cultural facilities with digital archives. This exhibition will showcase works by Daido Moriyama from the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum's collection, selected and reconfigured from the perspective of students from the Faculty of Engineering at Nara Women's University, under the theme of "Reproduced Sensibility." In addition, "Tokyo Museum Collection (ToMuCo) - Tokyo Metropolitan Museums and Art Museums Collection Search" will provide an online exhibition, offering everyone the opportunity to view the works anytime, anywhere. This exhibition, held with the cooperation of the Daido Moriyama Photography Foundation, is a touring exhibition of "Reproduced Sensibilities: DAIDO MORIYAMA by NWU Nagatani Lab. Monika Orpik," which was held at the Taikichi Irie Memorial Nara City Museum of Photography in 2025. It will feature a new arrangement, including works from the original exhibition.
