Taiji Kiyokawa: Masterworks Exhibition
October 1, 2026 – February 28, 2027
Painter Taiji Kiyokawa (1919-2000), known for his unique abstract expressions, established his home and studio in Seijo, Tokyo in 1949. The building was rebuilt in concrete in 1961, and since 2003 has housed the current museum. For nearly 20 years, the museum has introduced Kiyokawa’s work, but due to aging, the building is scheduled for renovation. This exhibition, the last before renovation, reflects on his achievements.
