Hiroshi Kagakui (1955–2009), beloved author of the “Daruma” picture book series, was once a special needs school teacher. In just four years before his untimely passing, he published 16 picture books. This exhibition showcases around 200 original illustrations from all 16 titles, along with approximately 500 pieces of creative materials and idea notebooks, offering a glimpse into his creative journey and the charm of his books. Visitors are welcome to talk freely, and children can enjoy animations and shadow play videos as part of the experience.
