SHARP DESIGN: Perspectives

Sharp presents Sharp Design, an exhibition exploring the ideas and creative processes behind the design of its products, at Good Design Marunouchi from August 17 to 28, 2026. Focusing not only on finished products but also on the designers’ ways of observing, thinking and developing ideas, the exhibition reveals how everyday appliances take shape through careful consideration and experimentation. The exhibition features actual products including washing machines, televisions, hair dryers, toasters and vacuum cleaners, alongside prototypes and development materials. Visitors can explore the hidden details and design decisions behind familiar products, discovering how designers observe daily life, rethink the way objects are used and transform those insights into new designs. The exhibition also recreates the perspective of designers, inviting visitors to experience a different way of seeing everyday appliances. Through Sharp’s approach to product design, the exhibition offers a glimpse into the creativity, curiosity and ideas behind the objects that shape our daily lives.
