This collection exhibition explores the life and works of renowned author Chiyo Uno, known for classics such as 'Confessions in Color,' 'Ohan,' and 'Living On.' Featuring newly donated materials from Uno’s personal collection, which were gifted to the museum in 2023, the exhibition is divided into two parts and will be on view throughout the year. The first part focuses on her early years in Iwakuni up to around age 50, when she began serializing 'Ohan,' showcasing her handwritten manuscripts, letters from Seiji Togo, diaries, and more. The second part highlights her later years from 1947 to 1996, covering her literary activities as well as her work as a kimono designer and other creative pursuits.
