A New Japan Philharmonic masterpiece concert conducted by Toshiaki Umeda at Sumida Triphony Hall. The program pairs Mendelssohn's A Midsummer Night's Dream Overture with Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 23 (Kaoru Amano) and Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 1 (Yulia Nakashima). The two young soloists are recent competition standouts: Nakashima was the youngest competitor at the 2025 Chopin International Piano Competition, and Amano placed third at the Sendai International Music Competition that year.
