To celebrate the grand opening of the Kawaguchi Municipal Art Museum, this special exhibition features the work of Mika Ninagawa, a renowned photographer, filmmaker, and contemporary artist who spent her early years in Kawaguchi City. Returning to her roots in photography, the exhibition presents around 30 years of her self-portraits in the 'Self-image' series and her documentation of days spent with her father, acclaimed director Yukio Ninagawa, in 'Beautiful Days.' The display also includes a re-creation of Yukio Ninagawa’s study, as well as works related to Mika Ninagawa's parents, family, and new series 'First Light.' Through themes of family, memory, and the connection to Kawaguchi, the exhibition explores the origins and inspiration behind her art.
