Masato Yamaguchi "Selfy"

Masato Yamaguchi's solo exhibition will be held at PARCO MUSEUM TOKYO, which explores the ideal way of portraits in contemporary society and attracts attention in various fields including the art and fashion industries. Yamaguchi, one of the most acclaimed contemporary artists, is the largest archive exhibition ever held at the 5th anniversary of its representative series SELFY, and at the same time, the chaotic street culture that has continued since the 1990s, and the culture of selfie born on the extension, this seemingly consumer behavior is redefined as "modern art" and asked, "Why are you selfie now?" We will interpret and display the work from a unique perspective, focusing on collaborative works with celebrities, including new works modeled on Eliza Ikeda, drawn for this exhibition.
