La Festa ITALY
November 7, 2026
On Saturday, November 7, at Nagahama Seaside Park in the Minami Atami area, the 50th Anniversary of the Atami and Sanremo Sister City Relationship will be celebrated with "La Festa ITALY." Sanremo is a beautiful resort city on the Italian Riviera, famous for the Sanremo Music Festival, a vibrant pop music event, as well as its glamorous casinos and yacht harbors. The sister city relationship began in 1976 after a Sanremo tourism official noted Atami's resemblance to Sanremo during a visit to Japan. This year's event commemorates 50 years of friendship. The program includes live music performances (11:00 AM and 2:00 PM), a live authentic Italian cooking show (12:00 PM), Italian food and market stalls (selling crepes, lemonade, pretzel sandwiches, cheese steak sandwiches, affogato, and more), and an exhibition of the latest FIAT cars titled "Unique FIAT Car Meeting." Please note, the event takes place on November 7. All are welcome to attend.
