The Tale of Ise is a literary work structured as a biography, with a clearly defined beginning and end, reflecting the author's strong creative intent and skill. This lecture will focus on the poems of Narihira collected in the Kokinshu anthology as depicted in the latter part of the biography, examining how these poems were woven into the narrative. The aim is to shed light on the background and appeal of The Tale of Ise's creation. Registration and payment are open from Tuesday, September 1 to Friday, September 25.
