Chief conductor Ken Takaseki leads the orchestra. In the first half, Keigo Mukawa—third prize winner at the 2021 Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition and second prize winner at the 2019 Long-Thibaud-Crespin Competition—joins as soloist for Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 3, a masterpiece combining virtuosity and deep lyricism. The second half features Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8, celebrated for its bright, rich melodies and vibrant colors evoking Bohemian nature and national spirit. A pre-concert talk by Maestro Takaseki will be held from 1:05 pm.
