Principal conductor Ken Takaseki takes on Bruckner’s Symphony No. 5 (original edition) in this concert. Known for its grand structure and masterful use of counterpoint and fugue, this piece is considered the pinnacle of symphonic composition technique. It embodies the intricate musical architecture and profound spirituality at the heart of Bruckner’s artistry. Building on the orchestra’s previous explorations of Bruckner’s works, Maestro Takaseki presents an ambitious program that delves into this majestic world. A pre-concert talk by Maestro Takaseki will be held from 13:05.
