A 'child-friendly city' is a community where children's rights, as outlined in the Convention on the Rights of the Child, are protected and ensured. This seminar explores both the theory and practice of key principles such as the best interests of the child and the right to express their views, focusing on the importance of children and youth participating in civic activities and government initiatives. Through practical exercises at the Setagaya Youth Exchange Center, participants will examine specific efforts to support the rights of children and young people. Registration and payment period: September 1 (Tue) to October 7 (Wed).
