Thank You, Sobe: A Selection of Shin Sobue’s Work Chosen by Friends

This exhibition pays tribute to Shin Sobue, a celebrated book designer who created over 2,000 book covers filled with creativity, humor, and warmth, and who inspired so many until his sudden passing on March 15, 2026. Eight people with close connections to Sobue (Nami Kishida, Natsuhiko Kyogoku, Shu Shiriagari, Junko Tsuda, Naoko Nakui, Sensha Yoshida, Banana Yoshimoto, and Shigesato Itoi) each select their top five favorite works by Sobue, which are on display to express their gratitude.
