Suginami Chamber Music Festival: Direct from France

Experience the charm of chamber music at this summer festival featuring five Japanese and French musicians, including principal players from the Paris Opera. The afternoon focuses on Normandy, with works by composers connected to the region such as Satie, Fauré, Saint-Saëns, and Dupré. A world premiere of a new piece by Normandy native Eschenne, written for the performers, will also be presented. In the evening, music by Beethoven, Brahms, Ravel, and Milhaud brings together different countries and centuries for a cross-cultural dialogue. There will also be talks in both French and Japanese, offering an authentic touch of France.
