Autumn Foliage at Ryuokyo Gorge
This scenic gorge along the Kinu River lies between Kawaji and Kinugawa hot spring resorts. Named for its dramatic rock formations that resemble a twisting dragon, the area is sometimes called the 'Park of Rocks and Water.' The unique shapes of the rocks and the river's beauty are especially enhanced in autumn, when the leaves transform into vibrant shades. From Ryuokyo Station, visitors can descend the steps to a riverside nature trail to admire the breathtaking blend of beech, oak, azalea, and maple leaves.
