String Valley Ensemble Play 'Those Who Want to Die' Tokyo Performance

A well-made comedy inspired by Chikamatsu Monzaemon, known as the 'Japanese Shakespeare.' Since its debut in 2006, this flagship work has won numerous awards including the TGR Sapporo Theater Festival Grand Prize and the Kamiya Drama Award. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the troupe, it will be performed as part of a nationwide tour across four cities. The 75-minute play depicts a conflict among lovers over a researcher’s last will, blending humor and surprises. Three shows will be held at the Shimokitazawa 'Geki' Small Theater. Not suitable for children under school age.
