In her later years, the first director of the Chihiro Art Museum and playwright Masa Iizawa (1909–1994) said, "I believe Chihiro continued to depict children because they are nothing less than symbols of peace. It is precisely this sentiment that keeps people loving her works today." This exhibition focuses on the theme of 'children,' which Chihiro pursued throughout her life, highlighting the stories and backgrounds embedded in her picture books and artworks.
