Celebrating the 100th anniversary of Feldman's birth and the 270th anniversary of Mozart's, this concert features Feldman’s late-period Clarinet and String Quartet (1983), which transports listeners into a realm of suspended time, as well as his early Two Pieces (1961), where pointillistic sound arrangements shape music of chance. The program also includes Mozart’s Quintet for Clarinet and Strings, K581, widely regarded as the greatest quintet for this ensemble.
