A duo recital by cellist Akira Ueno, the first Japanese winner of the Geneva International Music Competition cello category, and pianist Rémi Geniet, a laureate of the Queen Elisabeth Competition. The planned program is French-centred, with Ravel's piano solo, Debussy's Cello Sonata, Boulanger's Three Pieces and Franck's Sonata, plus Takemitsu's Air performed with special permission from the composer's family. It is part of the Kirari Hall "Jewel Box of Music" series.
